Canadian pop/R&B singer Justin Bieber’s fast worldwide success has stirred up so much unnecessary animosity among music fans.
Internet pranksters, bloggers and message board posters have targeted the 16 year old relentlessly with digital practical jokes. In one prank, a group of Internet surfers caused the search term “Justin Bieber Syphilis” to top the Google trend listing.
One member of the Facebook group writes, “Kill Justin Bieber,” followed by 1,574 exclamation points
Thousands of Facebook users are members of anti-Bieber groups, such as Justin Bieber Should Die and one quote application that mobilizes people to pray for his death—3,769 people like that one.
These groups are ridiculous. How is this any different from the controversial Facebook group that prayed for President Obama’s death? The posts on the message boards of Justin Beiber Should Die are disturbingly violent and homophobic. One message says, “Kill that kid and burn his eyes out” and another, “Kill Justin Bieber” followed by 1,574 exclamation points—enough to have to hit the “More” prompt to reveal the rest of the string of marks.
Hi Haters
Why are they so mad and hate Justin Bieber to such an extreme? I’m not a fan and don’t know any of his songs. I’ve only seen Bieber play during a brief guest performance on a children’s music special. This lefty can sing and play guitar pretty good. So whether or not you like his style of teenybopper pop, the kid’s got some talent. But if it’s not your cup of tea, don’t drink it.

Instead of wasting their time praying, plotting and pranking for Bieber’s embarrassment and death, Bieber haters should just relax and wait for the inevitable: he’ll grow up and so will his fans. Remember Aaron Carter?
